Senhorita Adel, por favor, fale um pouco sobre você:
Adelhaid: Olá!
Eu sou designer e cosplayer da Rússia, e vivo em Moscou. Eu tenho feito
fantasias (cosplay, históricas e LARP) a uns 9 ou 10 anos. Essa é uma parte
importante da minha vida, e a maioria dos meus amigos também se interessam nessa
área. Normalmente eu faço cosplays junto com a Faeryx. As 2 vezes que eu fiz
parte do Time Rússia em eventos internacionais, nós estávamos juntas.
Saito:
Wow, história legal. Quando você começou a cosplayar?
Adelhaid:
Meus amigos gostavam de cosplayar, e me pediram para fazer a Ran Fujimiya, de
Weiss Kreuz, para uma apresentação em grupo. Eu me diverti muito na convenção,
então decidi fazer outra fantasia depois. Eu não tenho fotos do meu primeiro
cosplay, e não estou certa se era ruim ou não. Não era bem feito de verdade. O
próximo foi a Kurai, de Angel Sanctuary. Essa foi a primeira vez que eu usei
tecido de vinil e foi meio complicadinho. Mas a fantasia acabou bem melhor.
Saito:
Por que você escolheu Adelhaid como sou nome artístico?
Adeilhaid:
Quando eu era adolescente, eu jogava muitos RPGs de mesa, e Adelhaid era o nome
de uma das minhas personagens. Meus amigos costumam me chamar de Ada.
Saito:
Eu também amo jogar RPG, quais formatos você costumava jogar? E quais classes e
raças você gostava de jogar?
Adelhaid:
D&D (3° edição), principalmente Meio-Elfos em várias classes. VtM – clãs
Malkavians ou Tzimisce. Changeling, the Dreaming (também é parte do World of
Darkness como VtM, mas sobre fadas). Eu preferia jogar como cavaleiro da Casa
Balor, mas também gostava de boggans. Eu também sou um pouco familiarizada com
Cyberpunk 2020 e GURPS. Também existe um sistema bacana de RPG russo para
historias místicas de detetive – Era Vodoleya (Era de Aquarius). Acho que não é
conhecido fora da Rússia. É um sistema d6 sem classes ou níveis. Você usa a
soma do Atributo e Habilidade para saber quantos dados você irá rolar. Se passa
na Rússia dos anos 90, onde organizações secretas de magos e psíquicos estão
tentando alcançar seus objetivos. Os jogadores são, normalmente, detetives ou
agentes especiais de uma organização secreta pró-governo, O Instituto de
Exofísica Aplicada.
Saito:
Eu amo Cyberpunk e D&D, principalmente 3.5 e 4.0 (Tielflings FTW!). Também
joguei um pouco de Changeling, mas não funcionou muito pra mim, eu deveria ter
jogado como um Eshú Artista Marcial, seria mais o meu estilo...
Perá,
me perdi por um momento, mals...
Então,
foram esses interesses pelo RPG que moldaram seu estilo de cosplayar? Nos diga
qual o estilo de personagens você gosta de fazer.
Adelhaid:
Eu gosto de cosplayar personagens com backgrounds interessantes. Talvez seja
por causa do meu interesse em RPG, talvez não. A história de uma personagem é
muito importante pra mim. Se não há nada por trás da fantasia, eu não me sinto
suficientemente inspirada para trabalhar no cosplay. Eu gosto de personagens
com força de vontade, mulheres e homens que sejam capazes de alcançar seus
objetivos. Normalmente, eu faço fantasias de mulheres, mas eu amo bastante
personagens de crossplay.
Saito:
Eu estou gostando bastante de conhecer mais sobre você através dessa
entrevista, mas juro não estar fazendo só pra perguntar coisas sobre você, lol.

ver seu interesse na história das personagens, não só no design delas. Das
personagens que você já fez, qual sua favorita?
Adelhaid:
Por muito tempo, minha favorita foi a Xerxes Break, de Pandora Hearts. Hoje em
dia é a Motoko Kusanagi, de Ghost in the Shell.
Saito:
Tem algum cosproject que você não vê a hora de completar?
Adelhaid:
Eu quero completar 2 novas fantasias de NieR: Automata, para mim e para um
amigo. Nós estamos fazendo a fanart desenhada pela Miho-tyan, onde a 2B e o
9S estão usando roupas japonesas. Quanto a projetos grandes, eu estou começando
a Titania, de Wika et la fureur d'Obéron, por Olivier Ledroit.
Saito:
Já que você cosplaya personagens de animes, filmes, videogames e HQs, eu fiquei
curioso sobre suas histórias favoritas. Nos diga alguns títulos que você gosta.
Adelhaid:
Vamos começar com os animes. Eu
gosto de Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, Ghost in the Shell, Serial
Experiments Lain. Todos esses títulos são antigos já. Eu não
tenho visto muitos animes ultimamente. Yuri on Ice é uma exceção por ser sobre
patinação artística e ter muitas personagens russas. Meu filme favorito é O
Labirinto do Fauno, de Guilhermo Del Toro e o Sherlock Holmes russo,
protagonizado por Vasily Livanov e Vitaly Solomin. Eu também gosto de
Dishonored, NieR, Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines, e alguns jogos das
series Castlevania e DMC. Anos atrás eu era uma grande fã de Lineage 2. Minhas
HQs favoritas são Requiem Chevalier Vampire (Pat Mills and Olivier Ledroit) e
Wika et la fureur d'Obéron (Thomas Day and Olivier Ledroit). Também gosto de
Transmetropolitan por Warren Ellis e Darick Robertson. Então, como pode ver, eu
gosto de coisas bem diferentes.
Saito:

Adel, please, talk a little about you:
Adelhaid: Hello! I am
a designer and cosplayer from Russia, and I live in Moscow. I’ve been making
costumes (cosplay, historical and LARP costumes) for 9 or 10 years. This is a
very important part of my life, as most of my friends are also interested in
all this stuff. Usually I make cosplay with Faeryx. Both times when I was a
part of Team Russia on the international events we were there together.
Saito: Wow, nice
story. What made you begin cosplaying?
Adelhaid: My friends
like cosplaying and asked me to make Ran Fujimiya, from Weiss Kreuz, for a
group performance. I had a lot of fun during the convention and decided to make
another costume later. I don't have any photos of my first cosplay, and I am
not sure if it is bad or not. It wasn't a well-made costume really. Next one
was Kurai, from Angel Sanctuary. This was the first time when I used vinyl
fabric and it was a bit tricky. But this costume turned to be much better.
Saito: Why did you
pick Adelhaid as your cosplayer name?
Adelhaid: When I was a
teenager, I played a lot tabletop role-playing games and Adelhid was the name
of one of my characters. Friends usually call me Ada.
Saito: I also love
playing RPGs, what were the games you used to play? And which classes and races
would you like to play as?
Adelhaid: D&D (3rd
edition), mostly half-elves of different classes. VtM - Malkavians or Tzimisce
clans. Changeling, the Dreaming (it is also World of Darkness as VtM but about
fairy). I prefer to play knights of House Balor but also I like boggans. I am a
little acquainted with Cyberpunk 2020 and GURPS. Also, there is a nice Russian
RPG system for mystical detective stories - Era Vodoleya (Age of Aquarius). I
think it is unknown outside Russia. This is system with d6 dice and no classes/levels.
You use your attribute + skill to know how many dices you are going to roll.
The setting is about Russia in 1990s, where secret organizations of magicians
and psychics are trying to achieve their goals. The players are usually the
detectives or special agents of the pro-government secret organization -
Institute of Applied Exophysics.
Saito: I love
Cyberpunk and D&D, mostly 3.5 and 4.0 (tieflings FTW!). I also played
Changeling a little bit, but didn't work out for me, I should have played as a
Martial Artist Eshú, would be more my style...
I think I lost myself here for
a moment, sorry...
Sooo, those interestings in
RPG molded your style of cosplaying? Tell us which types of characters you like
the most to cosplay.
Adelhaid: I like to
cosplay characters with interesting background. Maybe it is because of my RPG
interests, maybe not. The story of the character is very important for me. If
there is nothing behind the costume, I don't feel sufficiently inspired to
start working on cosplay. I like characters with a strong will, women and men
who are able to achieve their goals. More often, I make women's costumes but I
love all my crossplay characters very much.
Saito: I'm really
liking to know more of you through this interview, but I swear that I'm not doing
just for ask you things, lol

Nice to see your interest in
the characters’ stories, not only their designs. Which one of the characters
you made is your favorite?
Adelhaid: For a long
time, my favorite one was Xerxes Break, from Pandora Hearts. Now it is Motoko Kusanagi,
from Ghost in the Shell.
Saito: Is there any
cosproject that you can’t wait to see it complete?
Adelhaid: I want to
finish 2 new NieR: Automata costumes, for me and my friend. We are making
fanart version drawn by Miho-tyan, where 2B and 9S are wearing Japanese
clothes. As for the big projects, I am starting Titania, from Wika et la fureur
d'Obéron, by Olivier Ledroit.
Saito: Since you

Adelhaid: Let's
start from the anime. I like Gankutsuou: The Count of Monte Cristo, Ghost in the
Shell, Serial Experiments Lain. All the titles are rather old. I am not watching
much anime today. Yuri on Ice was an exception, as it is about figure skating
and there are many russian characters. My favorite movies are Pan's Labyrinth,
